G. G. V. Kadiwalal & M. V. Bunki School was Established in jan 1945. The Donor of Lend is Shree Gandabhai and Shree Gordhanbhai Kadiwala. The School’s Principal Dr. Amrutlal P. Patel was Appointed as the Principal of G. & G. V. Kadiwala School on 12-10-2006. His Multi Faced Academic Talent and Administrative Exprience has been Beneficial for the Quick Progress and Development of the School.

HISTORICAL AUTHENTIC INFORMATION:
We are very much pleased and proud to present the glorious profile of our school G.& G.V KADIWALA & M.V BUNKI SARVAJANIK HIGH SCHOOL SURAT which was established 61 years ago. The prestigious journey started with the sincere efforts of the Society president Sir Diwan Bahadur Shri C.M. Gandhi and inspiration of Manharlal Gordhandas Kadiwala in 1944. The donation of Rs18000 and the plot area 2000 sq. yards were given by well known merchants of Sagrampura, Gandabhai and Gordhanbhai Vithhalbhai Kadiwala. Consequently the institute started on 11th June 1945 in Kabir Mandir (in house on rents)in Sagrampura Surat This was inaugurated by municipal president Dr. C.J. GHIYA. The school stared with 122 pupils consisting of 22 girls under the leadership of Principal R.R. Shukla, Principal Sumanbhai J Shah took the charge of the school in 1947 . Sarvajanik Education Society decided to start class VIII in 1949 and Shi P.D. BHATT was appointed as the first headmastaer of the school . Due to his painstaking efforts the school succeeded to have 5 classes in 1951and 10 classes on 1959.
Due to the continuous progress of the school the building of Kabir Mandir fell short and environment around it was also not proper for the rapid development of the school, Sarvajanik Education Society decided to build a new building on the land donated by Shri Gandbhai & Gordhanbhai Kadiwala (J.P. Road, Sagrampura). By the intensive efforts of Shri C.R. DESAI and SHRI HIRALAL N, JARIWALA , the school got the donation of Rs. 15000 from the M.V.BUNKI and not only that but the 1896 sq yards of land which was already besides the land given by shri GANDABHAI KADIWALA. Morover Shri Mohanlal Bunki collected Rs.3000 as a school building fund from his friends and relatives i.e. Shri Vrajdas Kadiwala ,Shri Kantilal Vakhariya Shri Nathubhai Kadiwala , Shri Chhotubhai Kadiwala and Smt. Kamlaben Joshi each. Moreover the school was lucky enough to get the generous donation of Rs. 15000 from Late Shri RAO BAHADUR BHIMJIBHAI JAGIRDAR TRUST . The accomplishment of the task could only be possible due to dedicated contribution of Shri C. R. DESAI . Not only this but fund of Rs.95000 was raised from the smallest donation of residents of Sagrampura ,and the dream of Sarvajanik Education Society came true.
In 1960 the construction of the new building was completed and it was inaugurated by the chairman of University Grant Commission Shri C.D. Deshmukh. The school was renamed as G.& G.V. KADIWALA & M.V. BUNKI SARVAJANIK HIGH SCHOOL in this way the seed sprouted as sapling. One class of std .XI was started in June 1962 and the school became full-fledged and gradually succeeded in every activities. Another new building was built in 1965 and separate classrooms for girls and other facilities were provided. As the
children of cloth merchants were studying in this school , courses of dying and printing were introduced.
Being the Gandhi Centenary Year, “1970” was of much importance and memorable , the school celebrated this year as Silver Jubilee. Academic exhibition was also arranged on this occasion.
In 1976 the new pattern of educaton 10+2+3 was introduced. Higher Secondary Section was started in June 1979.
In 1982-83 the 150th Birth anniversary of “KAVI NARMAD”was celebrated.
In 1990 the school got 90% result in S.S.C.Board Exam . In the academic year of 1994-95 computer education was started and Golden Jubilee was celebrated with enthusiastic participants of the students in various co-curricular activities.
On 14th August 1997, as a part of Golden Jubilee celebration of Independence , 100 students participated in a procession with Mashal and Musical Bands and took an oath to do anything for the sake of Independence. The Lions club sponsored the function and gave Rs.500/-. Pupils cleaned streets of Sagrampura under the project of Government of Gujarat and tried to make people aware about cleanliness. Moreover pupils and staff- members collected Rs.21725/- to help the family members of the martyrs of Kargil Front on 27-07-99 .
The ECO-CLUB of the school arranged a useful and interesting demonstration of Solar Eclipse to develop scientific attitude in pupils.
Surat Municipal Corporation arranged Marathon Race on “AIDS DAY”(1st December 2005) in which 32 students of our school took part.
Let us hope that each and every member of the school will try his/her best and enhance the glory of the school in coming years.
